This 4" ribbon has a cotton plaid face woven on the bias, so the navy and red blocks run diagonally across the ribbon instead of lining up with the edges. Fine red, navy, and grey pinstripes cross through the larger blocks, and a solid red dupioni backing is fused to the reverse. Red overlock stitching finishes both wired edges. The navy, red, and grey palette sets it apart from the green-banded tartans in this line, so it works for Preppy Christmas wreaths and also crosses over into patriotic wreaths and swags for the Fourth of July or Memorial Day.
When you make your bow loops, give a few of them a twist so the solid red back shows between the plaid. At 4" wide, it has enough body for large wreath bows, tree toppers, and mantel garlands.
